Napier Libraries, in partnership with Stepping Up: Digital Skills for Life and Digital Inclusion Alliance Aotearoa, have put together a range of free digital skills workshops for the community.
The workshops cover a selection of topics including smartphones, eBooks and internet banking, how to access free movies using Kanopy, keeping safe online, and using video calls and messaging apps to keep connected with friends and family. The topics vary term to term.
Napier Libraries hold courses in Local History and Genealogy every term. Our Genealogy workshops cater to both complete beginners and those with some experience. 'Introduction to Genealogy' is designed for those new to family research, whereas 'Intermediate Genealogy' is for those already confident in basic genealogy.
'Local History' explores the resources available through Napier Libraries, along with some tips and tricks to help you along your research journey.
Nau mai, haere mai! Welcome to Kapa Kōrero, Napier Libraries' te reo conversation club. Whether you're a total beginner, completely fluent, or somewhere in between, Kapa Kōrero gives you the chance to speak te reo in a relaxed, informal environment.
